특전사 고공강하 교관으로 임무 수행 중인 마도영 상사.
Master Sergeant Ma Do-young, currently serving as a high-altitude parachute instructor for the Special Forces.

 

1,000번째 고공강하를 기록하며 '금장월계휘장'을 수여받은 날, 그는 전우들과 가족에게 감사의 마음을 전했습니다.
On the day he was awarded the 'Gold Laurel Wreath' badge for recording his 1,000th high-altitude jump, he expressed his gratitude to his comrades and family.

 

"고공강하 1,000회 달성은 결코 혼자 이룬 것이 아닙니다. 함께 뛰어준 전우들과 믿고 따라준 교육생들, 그리고 반드시 돌아가야 할 가족이 있었기에 가능했던 소중한 기록입니다."
"Achieving 1,000 high-altitude jumps was by no means accomplished alone. It is a precious record made possible by the comrades who jumped with me, the trainees who trusted and followed me, and the family I must return to."

 

동시에 오늘도 완벽히 임무를 수행하겠다고 다짐합니다.
At the same time,  pledge to perform my mission perfectly today.

 

"두려움을 넘어 오늘도 다시 뛰는 이유는 지켜야 할 국민이 있고, 사랑하는 가족과 아내가 있기 때문입니다. 단 한 번의 강하도 마지막이라는 마음으로, 그리고 어떠한 상황에서도 전우를 지킬 수 있는 멋진 교관으로서 임무를 완수하겠습니다."
"The reason I overcome my fear and run again today is because there are citizens to protect, and a beloved family and wife. I will complete my mission with the mindset that every single jump is my last, and as a fine instructor capable of protecting my comrades in any situation."
